The Awesomeness of the “You’re just a kid scene” in Good Will Hunting (1997)

For those who are looking for a film that talks about how to overcome your limitations and become who you are, I think Good Will Hunting (1997), dir. Gus Van Sant and written by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck who stars along with Oscar Winner Robin Williams.

It is obvious that the breakout performance in this film is Robin Williams (what a talent). But it is the way in which the relationships are rendered tenderly in this film.

I love the push-pull relationship between Williams and Damon who both struggles and help each other by testing and expanding their own doubts and confidence in each other.

The above scene encapsulates (see what I did there lol) the push-pull relationship between the two leads. Impeccable acting.
